matariki star art

Hello readers, this week my whole class are working on Matariki art. Matariki art is about the seven sisters. The seven sisters tell you about the future, if you see seven stars in the sky and they are bright that mean there is going to be a bright future.

For our Matariki art we had to draw a star. After we draw the star we have to put patterns on it. We had to put zen tangle patterns. Then you would have to get another white piece of paper and paint it with the colours, red, yellow, purple and green. After you have painted the white piece of paper, you have to glue your star onto the coloured background.

This is what mine turned out like. Also its wearing pyjamas.

I know it looks pretty cool. But thank you for reading my blog. I hope you have a nice day and be nice to each other. Bye readers!

  1. I like your background Shyla. The way the dye has blended into the other colours remind me of the black hole. Not that I've ever seen it but I reckon it would look like this.
Where about's would I need to look in the sky to see the seven sisters?.
I know where the Southern Cross is and the pot,are they somewhere near those?.
